Billions of people a year catch the cold. Now you can get one too! Learn all about the Common Cold with this cuddly companion.

Children, parents and educators will enjoy using these educational plush toys to teach about hygiene, disease and the human body. Each microbe comes with a description of the disease it causes or function it performs. Use these fun, non-threatening toys to emphasize the importance of washing hands and preventing sickness in social settings.

Rhinovirus (from the Greek rhin- which means "nose") is a genus of the Picornaviridae family of viruses. Rhinoviruses are the most common viral infective agents in humans, and a causative agent of the common cold. It is lytic in nature. There are 99 recognized types of rhinoviruses that differ based on their varying surface proteins. Rhinoviruses are among the smallest viruses, with diameters of about only 30 nanometers. The rhinovirus grows best in the temperatures between 33–35 °C, and this may be why reproduction occurs in the nose. It is sensitive to acidic environments.
